Our trips graded ‘moderate to challenging’ are 3 out of 5 on our difficulty scale. You can find more details about what each challenge entails on the individual trip page but typically a ‘moderate to challenging’ trip may include one, or all of the following specific challenges:

  • Moderate altitude (up to 3000m)
  • Fairly basic living conditions
  • Different climates to what you may be used to
  • Physically demanding terrain or activities
  • A short to medium duration trip
