St Wilfrid’s Hospice is your local community hospice. Their expert teams provide palliative and end-of-life care to people in our community with a life-limiting illness.

At any one time the Hospice supports over 340 people, from their 14-bed Ward at the Hospice and the Hospice Community Team visiting local people at home. As an independent local charity, St Wilfrid’s provide these vital hospice services to the local community free-of-charge. The care costs of the Hospice are paid for in part by an NHS grant, however the majority of their annual costs, which total just over £10.5m are met thanks to the generous support of fundraisers, donors and shoppers.
