Charity Challenges with Different Travel

We offer two types of charity challenge: Open Challenges and Bespoke Challenges.

We believe that our charity challenge events offer people a real opportunity to experience, learn and contribute in ways which traditional holidays cannot. We believe that our challenges not only make a difference to the communities we visit through our responsible tourism ethos, but also to the people who travel with us who get more out of their trip because they have the opportunity to give something back.

Open Challenges

An Open Challenge is a charity challenge with a pre-planned departure date and itinerary which anyone can get involved in. It is open to individuals as well as groups of friends, couples, colleagues and families who may have joined together to support the charity (or charities) of their choice, or just for an active adventure holiday overseas! It is called an Open Challenge because there is no requirement for anyone to fundraise for a designated charity, or to fundraise at all. It is open to all!

Some charities opt to market an Open Challenge to their supporters as a fundraising challenge so they can meet their fundraising targets. Open Challenges are a great option for charities who may be concerned about minimum participant numbers required for a bespoke trip or for those who just want to test the water before committing to their own private charity challenge just for their supporters.

Bespoke Challenges

A 'Bespoke Challenge' is a tailor made itinerary especially designed to your requirements. A bespoke challenge is completely flexible and we can base the itinerary around a specific destination, activity, duration or even community or environmental project type. If you, or your organisation have a link with a project overseas this can often be the ideal place to start. If not and you would like to include the project element we have links with many local charities and NGOs throughout the world and can usually find one to suit your interests or requirements. Of course there is no requirement for you to include a project visit or activity in your itinerary.

We work closely with you to decide the key components of the trip, whether it is a purely physical challenge, a community challenge or a combination of both. If you are aiming to attract corporate supporters or participants we can design shorter itineraries incorporating team-building and other leadership activities.
